Objective : Six Semesters Bachelor of Arts (HONS.) in History conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of History.

Eligibility : 10+2 of any discipline Duration : 6 semesters

Award : Bachelor of Arts (HONS.) in History shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland.

History is the discovery, collection, organisation and presentation of information about past events. History can also mean the period of time after writing was invented. The historians have recorded events of the past, either in writing or by passing an oral tradition and have attempted to answer historical questions through the study of written documents and oral accounts. The historians have also used such sources as monuments, inscriptions and pictures. The demand for graduates in history is growing day by day. However those interested in undergoing a Master’s Degree in History may do so if they contemplate to join teaching field as a profession in schools, colleges, universities and institutions of national importance

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300/- per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at Dimapur Nagaland.

All students are required to submit a dissertation at the end of final semester.

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects
