M.Sc. in Fashion Design and Management
Objective : The two years Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Fashion Design and Management conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of fashion design, clothing, dying, management and technology.
Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration : 4 Semester
Award : Master of Science (M.Sc.) with specialization in Fashion Design and Management shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University Nagaland.
Careers in Fashion design and management
With the growing awareness regarding fashion design, technology and management, many textile, garments and apparel merchandising units need thousands of boys and girls trained in the emerging fields of fashion specially having expertise in areas like fashion journalism, embroidery, fashion management, garment construction, dying, environment friendly clothing. Jobs in this new field are available in India as well as in other countries in the export houses, research and development organisations dealing with fashion design and technology for projecting a master plan paradigm for ensuring a sustainable fashion policy.

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 28,150/- in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, P.O. – ARTC, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 Nagaland by registered / speed post only.
Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300/- per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at Dimapur, Nagaland.
All students are required to submit a dessertation at the end of the final semester.
Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
