Master of Arts (M.A.) Women's Studies
Objective : The two years Master of Arts (M.A) Degree in Women’s Studies conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of women’s empowerment, rural and urban entrepreneurship for women, education for women, women and child development etc.
Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration : 4 Semesters
Award : Master of Arts (M.A) Degree in Women’s Studies shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland, . They will also be eligible for admission in the M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree programmes in the relevant Schools and Faculties at The Global Open University.
Careers in Women’s Studies
Women’s Studies is an interdisciplinary and academic field which explores politics, society and history from an intersectional, multicultural women’s perspectives. It critiques and explores societal norms of gender, race, class, sexuality, and other inequalities. Women’s Studies include a diverse array of pedagogies, though there are some common things to the way many such courses are taught. During the two years of studies in this programme, students are involved in social justice that are embedded with theory as well as activism. Such programmes are being encouraged for women’s empowerment.

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 28,150/- in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, P.O. – ARTC, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 Nagaland by registered / speed post only.
Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300/- per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at Dimapur, Nagaland
All students are required to submit a dissertation at the end of the final semester.
Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
