Master of Science (M.Sc.) Counselling

Objective : The two years Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Counselling conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of counselling and guidance including Careers, vocational, family, child, geriatric and psychiatric counselling and guidance besides teaching behaviour, social work, counselling psychology and destressing human mind.

Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration : 4 Semesters

Award : Master of Science (M.Sc.) with specialisation in Counselling shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland.

Careers in Counselling

Counselling is a scientific process concerned with guidance or coping with personal trauma. With the changing times and the lifestyles, the side effects of a routine fast paced life, the role of counselling has become more important. Counselling has become almost compulsory in all academic institutions with a view to guiding the children so as to help them to optimised their mental abilities. Overcoming fear or risking exposure is another way to look at approaching a counselling centre. This includes a therapy session or a programmed technique for helping the patients.

Total Fee : Rs. 28,150/- 

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 28,150/- in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, P.O. – ARTC, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 Nagaland by registered / speed post only.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300/- per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at Dimapur, Nagaland.

All students are required to submit a dissertation at the end of the final semester.

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
