Master of Science (M.Sc.) Criminology
Objective : The two years Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Criminology conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of criminal intelligence, combating mechanism, communal violence control, crime against women, corruption control, criminal law and justice administration etc.
Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration : 4 Semesters
Award : Master of Science with specialisation in Criminology shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland.
Careers in Criminology
Criminology is the scientific study of the nature, extend, causes and control of criminal behaviour in both the individuals and in the society. This is an interdisciplinary field in behavioural science drawing especially upon the research in the area of deviance as well as on the writings in law. Research areas in criminology like the incidence, forms, causes and consequences of crime as well as social and governmental regulations and reaction to crime have made this profession very important. Accordingly jobs are available in the government as well as in the forensic science and detective organisations worldwide.

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 28,150/- in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, P.O. – ARTC, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 Nagaland by registered / speed post only.
Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300/- per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at Dimapur, Nagaland.
All students are required to submit a dissertation at the end of the final semester.
Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects
