Master of Science (M.Sc.) Hotel Management and Catering Technology

Objective : Four semesters Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Hotel Management and Catering Technology conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of hotel management, catering technology, food and beverage production, catering management, culinary facilities, front office management, housekeeping etc.

Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration : 4 Semesters

Award : Master of Science with specialisation in Hotel Management and Catering Technology shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland.

Careers in Hotel Industry

Hotel and Hospitality Industry is growing by leaps and bounds. With the growing tourism and travel industry, India is all set to have at least 50000 more hotel and motel establishments in the coming five years. Accordingly a competent cadre of young professionals with expert knowledge of hotel management and catering technology is required urgently for enabling these hospitality organisations manage their respective departments like front office, catering, food and beverage, housekeeping and other engineering and legal departments organised.

Total Fee : Rs. 28,150/-

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 28,150/- in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Sodzulhou Village, P.O. – ARTC, NH-39, Dimapur – 797115 Nagaland by registered / speed post only.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 300/- per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at Dimapur, Nagaland.

All students are required to submit a dissertation at the end of the final semester.

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subject wise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
